The onsite format is held in an intensive 30 hours program. Networking opportunities are provided in all programs to connect with an elite and diverse group of professionals and instructors.
Interactive Online Live
This 8-week course features a dynamic kick-off session, followed by 4 live sessions enriched with online lectures, case studies, group and individual assignments, and interactive discussions.
Online
The online format offers an extensive training but with maximum flexibility for busy professionals. This course is designed for self-study with on-demand video lectures specifically produced for the online format.
Inhouse
This format is tailored to your needs, covering the full M&A lifecycle with flexible delivery options and customized content like case studies, simulations, and role-specific training.

I am proud to be an IM&A charterholder, having successfully completed the professional certification program and received my qualification in March 2021. The IMAA program provided me with a highly valuable and robust set of M&A skills. I recently completed the online Certified Post Merger Integration Expert course from the Institute of Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances, and it has been a transformative experience for me. Three key aspects to a successful post-merger integration include:

In 2022, I decided to formalize my M&A experience and memorialize my expertise with either an advanced degree or certification. I spent months investigating all the programs on offer and, after a detailed analysis, decided to engage IMAA and pursue one of their certifications. The process of getting the information I need to make the decision, securing my registration, and going through the program was extraordinary. I always had the passion to discover about the M&A world. IMAA fulfilled my wish with the most relevant aspects of the M&A covered in just one course out of the New York City. I recently completed my IM&A (in-person) and M&AP (online) certifications. Both experiences were incredibly rewarding. The instructors had the depth of knowledge and personal experience you’d expect. The class was full of high-caliber, whip-smart, and friendly people. I learned from everyone. What I appreciated most about IMAA and the instructors (both in person and online) was often repeated notes of humility and ethics. I’d recommend attending the in-person course if possible but both were valuable.
As a part of my MBA program, I enrolled in the Entrepreneurial Finance course. The assessment process required a role-play exercise in which my group represented the buy-side while the target group represented the sell-side in the acquisition of a company. This novel and challenging process made me curious about the overall concept of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and its complete scope. In my research, IMAA was featured many times, and I enrolled in the program. After completing two courses, I can attest that every experience has provided me with new perspectives on how to approach deals and a shift in my understanding of stakeholder engagement/management. The valuation class helped me improve my financial modelling skills, while the IM&A course provided me with knowledge on deal processing, strategy, due diligence and commonly overlooked aspects of a deal that could either make or break the process – before and after a merger. I highly recommend the IM&A course to anyone seeking deeper insights and understanding into the complete end-to-end cycle of mergers and acquisitions.
