Recently came out of a very thorough DD for a mental healthcare provider being acquired by PE.
The PE brought a third party to perform a DD on billing and procedures. Interestingly, it was found in the process that this was the first time this third party had engaged in a DD for a mental health care provider and their report ended up being inaccurate.
Has anyone encountered anything like this before – what were your lessons learned with respect to third parties being brought in from buy side?
