Hi team – probably most of us know of SPACs (Special purpose acquisition companies), a recent financial market phenomenon where institutional investors setup shell companies, raise IPOs to eventually use the money to acquire targets into the shells. Some reasons why this gained popularity during the pandemic: Safer means for the target to raise money than try raising an IPO by itself during pandemic market conditions Greater liquidity for an acquirer and more exit opportunities for a target SPACs are better suited for technology investments requiring long term funding

Truly SPACS gains popularity recently and has many advantages. Is using SPACS circumvent certain regulatory requirements compared to conventional IPOs?
