who in your opinion brings M&A opportunities to the table? and what is the main drive to scout for opportunities? for example does it comes from management our anyone can pitch a deal? is it considered to meet the company’s strategy?
M&A deal flow can come from any source – either the in-house strategy or business development team goes out to scout for deals on their own, or work with advisers such as investment banks, or opportunities could be presented to the company’s directors and employees based on networking and relationships. There were several occasions where professional connections reached out to me on potential deals to sound out / pass on to my business development team for further evaluation.
