Have you been aware of problems led by Post-acquisition employee compensation equalization? In brazil there are different employment regime, and after an acquisition it is usually normal to equalize the salaries, but sometimes they are significant distant from each others
Hello Bruno, this is not a problem unique to Brazil! We are a Canadian company acquiring US based firms. the compensation packages between the two countries is very different and it is difficult to establish ‘fair’ compensation. The number will look different because of the tax and benefit systems but overall, we have tried to create equality across the boarders. Of course the local market for skilled workers will also create that inequality….
