    Hi All,

I am from Learning and Development background and am working as an M&A Project Analyst. How can an L&D specialist contribute as an M&A Project Analyst?

I think coordinating an Acquisition/Acquisition Integration Strategy Summary (one-pager) would be a great place to start. This is one the primary documents we incorporate into our workshops early for our project workstreams to provide insight into Due Diligence research and findings that has already been identified by IMO for proper alignment. By that I mean, having a document that contains your Exit Strategy, Information on the acquired block, How you plan to Win (e.g., Value Proposition/Synergy Overview with Success and Measurement Goals) and Key considerations (e.g., Risks, Issues, Relationships, employee/culture considerations) to take into account during the integration.

A key thing that would help is documenting how the acquired entity works. It is difficult to cross-train / assist in the training development while also working through the integration strategy. A point person to take the lead on the ins and outs of training would be a huge value-add to my integration project team.
