I recently completed the training section for functional integration. It is clear that their are specific integration requirements for each functional area. I also noticed that the area of supply chain was not covered (purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing, distribution, and transportation). Given the uniqueness of the integration plan for each area, how does an integration manager ensure that a proper plan is defined beyond getting the right internal people from each area to support the integration planning and execution?
