Business as usual or focus on integration?

    When carrying out a post-merger integration, is it more important to maintain business as usual (avoiding business disruption at the expense of swift integration/reorganization), or concentrate efforts and channel resources towards integration (with some levels of business disruption – a one-time pain, but swift remedy)?


    business as usual is not optional it is mandatory, PMI is on top.



    Business as usual and PMI are both equally important and mandatory – the question is really on trade-offs and resource allocation between both. No way to have 100% each, so what would be a suitable focus? Say 30% BAU, 70% PMI?
