Alternate frameworks to the PMI approach to integration projects?

    I recognize that PMI and the PMBOK guide tends to be a widely used approach to leading and managing projects even in the M&A integration space. I’m curious though, if anyone has experience using alternate project management frameworks/approaches to lead and execute post-acquisition integration work and if so, what were the observed pros/cons?
