The IM&A-Framework is developed by IMAA in cooperation with our partner organizations, contributors and faculty members. With more than 12 years of history, it already set the standard within numerous companies and institutions. The framework covers all steps within the M&A process giving structure to our 4 modules (Essentials of Mergers & Acquisitions, Due Diligence, Post-Merger-Integration and Valuation) and covering different aspects of the Body of Knowledge for Mergers & Acquisitions.
Body of Knowledge for M&A
The Institute for Mergers, Acqusittions and Alliances has created the first standard in M&A by creating the Body of Knowledge for Mergers & Acquisitions which is curated by international M&A experts and faculty on a regular basis.

Take the IM&A Program Online
The IM&A certificate is available completely online. The online program fee is USD 2’990. The online program will give you access to videos which are exclusively recorded for the use in our online program only by global experts. All reading materials are included and accessible online. Assignments include a mix of real-life business case study, quizzes and multiple choice questions. The program takes about 100 hours worth of study, but can vary depending on experience.

How long does it take to complete the M&A Certificate?
The IM&A Certification is designed as a part-time program for professionals. The total time of completion depends on your prior background and time you can devote to this. In total for the online program it may take about 100 hours of study. Our fastest participants complete it within 2 months.
What is included in the fee?
Our tuition fees include all mandatory and recommended study materials. In addition you get access to our e-library.
When can I enroll for and start with the IM&A Certificate?
You can enroll at any time for the Certificate Program online and start right away. For our onsite M&A courses please check the dates and locations.
Can I take the M&A Certificate entirely online?
Yes, you can take the entire program online from anywhere in the world or while travelling. This is what many of our participants do. For the completion of the M&A Certification there is no physical attendance necessary. However, you can combine online with onsite workshops to reach your designation.

What is the difference to other training providers?
