    Are there any thoughts on best practices on when to engage the target company’s employees in the planning of the integration the two companies?

    Engaging the target company’s employees early in the integration planning is key. Start communication as soon as the deal is announced to build trust and reduce uncertainty. Involve key leaders from the target company in planning discussions to leverage their insights. Form cross-functional teams with members from both companies to address integration challenges and ensure diverse perspectives. Provide regular, transparent updates on integration progress to keep everyone informed and engaged. This approach helps align goals, reduce resistance, and ensure a smoother integration.
