In a software development shop where you would think IT due diligence is the key DD during an M&A, I have noticed that IT validations are done much towards the end of due diligence and at a very high level. In addition, it’s often seen the synergies identified from IT integrations are not achieved as per the original plan. In your experience whats the timing of IT DD and how successful are obtained synergies after the acquisition?
