The integration process is a complex undertaking involving combining operations, systems, and cultures. I prefer pre-closing planning that allows post-merger integration to be implemented from day one. Our plans include the development of an integration strategy that is taking place during the due diligence phase, communication plans that help the integration team to clearly communicate step-by-step implementation goals, and evaluation of completion goals as they are being completed.
