While there isn’t a one-size-fit-all timeline, in my experience DD in smaller projects can be done within 4-6 weeks assuming the target is responsive and provides quality responses to requests for information. That said, I caution against using this as a rule of thumb becuase due diligence can be potentially complicated even for small deals or smaller-sized businesses, due to the existence of one or more heightened risk factors. For example, multiple jurisdictions are involved, the business operates in a highly regulated sector, or the existence / threat of material claims.
