While each function will have integration tasks largely focused on integration goals of that function, there are also a number of cross-functional workstreams that should be created, in which inputs from various functions serve as dependencies of achieving the greater goal. For example, one aspect of sales integration planning is sales centric; for example, integrating the sales team into the organization. Another aspect of sales integration planning, for example, go to market plan, is highly dependent upon multiple functions, including for example, HR, Tax, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, etc.
In our integration process we organize/recognize/manage cross-functional workstreams in addition to purely functional focused workstreams.
