About the Training
Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is a high-growth and high-return albeit high-risk strategy. It is difficult to get right and therefore requires complete alignment of purpose, process and people. This one-day masterclass offers board directors strategic insights to navigate the complexities of M&A projects. Speakers
David Olsson
Managing Director, Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances
Mr David Olsson is the Managing Director of the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA). He has over 15 years of M&A experience in various steps of the process from strategy and target search to realising the synergies through successful integration. He has also assisted boards and senior executives by providing advisory services and hands on expertise in M&A and project management, from M&A leadership and governance to actual implementation. In addition to being an experienced member of the IMAA faculty for many years, Mr Olsson also has experience in the frontline of M&A with private equity, corporate development and consultancy. Mr Olsson holds a degree in Social Psychology.
Kelvin Teo
Faculty Member, Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances
Mr Kelvin Teo has over 15 years of experience in investment banking, valuation and private equity assisting corporates and startups from fundraising to M&A transactions. Mr Teo gained experience at Deutsche Bank, Fusan Asset Management, HSBC and UBS, among others. He has trained corporate clients from companies such as Barclays, Goldman Sachs and HSBC. Mr Teo holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg-HKUST and a BSc International Relations from the London School of Economics. He is also an FCMA CGMA Charter Holder and has been awarded the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance by the Institute for Adult Learning.
