I am an experienced Alliance Manager, new to M&A. For those of you who are experienced, what do you enjoy the most and least about leading/providing M&A support?

I did M&A Investment Banking for the last 10 years, not post-merger integration advisory. From the IB angle, here is my point of view.
    I enjoyed the most:
    – Learn about new companies, industries and business models.
    – Every deal is unique and you are faced to new challenges.
    – You get to connect with business owners, C-level executives and other advisors.
    – Once closed, you get to see the tangible outcomes of your effort.

    I enjoyed the least:
    – Long hours.
