The most common valuation methodologies I would say are peer multiples, past transaction comparables multiples, discounted cash flows or dividend discount models. However, which would you consider the most appropriate methodology for value an ed-tech company (eg. Coursera, Duolingo, others)

Coursera offers many very useful short courses that focus on the problem to be solved, reducing the time spent wandering and giving me more time to play geometry dash lite.

Valuing an ed-tech company involves assessing various factors, such as its website functionality, user engagement, content quality, and growth potential. A crucial aspect is the effectiveness of the online platform, examining user-friendly interfaces and the comprehensiveness of educational materials. Additionally, the company’s website traffic, subscription rates, and customer feedback play key roles in determining its value. A robust and scalable website, offering innovative learning solutions, contributes significantly to a higher valuation. The adaptability of the platform to emerging technologies and its alignment with educational trends are vital considerations. Ultimately, a well-established and forward-thinking website enhances the overall valuation of an ed-tech company.
