The pace of integration and its dependency on due diligence

    During the first section, Essentials of M&A, the following three considerations are discussed: financial, strategic, and sociocultural. In all areas it’s important to know where the biggest hurdles will be when devising the overall integration plan. Strong alignment and benefits in all three areas might indicate that the overall integration could move much faster than if there’s an area where more convincing of employees is needed for them to see the benefits and envision a future as one organization. Some organizations take a swift approach to absorbing the target’s identity while others choose to keep some acquisitions branded as “Target, a Aquiuirer Company”. What aspects of the financial, strategic, and socioculture analysis might influence the decision on how to integrate and brand?
