    Do strategic buyers overvalue synergies, and are PE firms now better at identifying real operational uplift? Strategics typically justify higher valuations through synergies, but many deals fail because synergy assumptions are inflated or poorly diligenced. Meanwhile, sophisticated PE operators increasingly build real value-creation plans using past experience, superlative analytics, and more disciplined due diligence. Do you agree?
