Among those of you who have already worked actively on M&A transactions, I would be interested to know what were the main areas of responsibility / tasks that you worked on in those deals? And how did you work your way up from there?
My first M&A project was around acquisition strategy as an industry expert. We were asked to validate a PE thesis and conduct market research to identify targets across the industry that match the thesis. From there, we realized a variety of firms need assistance in the industry across the M&A process given expertise. Hope this helps!
