Having worked on a number of large scale Mergers, I am often struck that management does not properly consider the effort involved in rationalising duplicate systems, translating and migrating mapped data sets and de-duplicating costly outdated infrastructure and software essential to streamlining operating costs. What experiences (good & bad) have you had related to post-merger integration related to data and technology?
