Yes, with DD being a standard part of the process and EDD being used in specific cases where a more comprehensive examination of the target company is necessary. For example, EDD may need conducted when the target company operates in a high-risk or regulated industry, or when the acquiring company has specific concerns or needs to address. (additional background checks, assessments of operational processes, and investigation into the target company’s relationships with third parties)
