The Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA) partners BIZIT Inc. to provide best practices in Mergers & Acquisitions Education for Japanese companies.

Singapore and Tokyo, July 1, 2020 – We are pleased to announce that as of June 1st 2020, The Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances has entered into a collaboration agreement with BIZIT Inc. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative CEO: Yusuke Tanno, hereinafter BIZIT), to jointly offer various M&A related services to Japanese SMEs looking to adapt to the Post COVID-19 era.

Many Japanese companies are facing structural challenges of the shrinking domestic market and thus, an increasing number of SMEs are exploring new ways to reach expand into overseas markets. BIZIT has been providing support to domestic companies through BIZIT M&A, the largest global M&A platform in Japan which is used by approximately 5,200 users in 158 countries globally. However, the current situation has impeded companies from taking concrete actions due to lack of information, experience and overwhelming uncertainty. BIZIT aims to provide various services, including M&A training program of IMAA, to Japanese SMEs and to contribute to the accumulation of M&A related knowledge and preparation for execution of M&A, in addition to the introduction of M&A projects.

“Our cooperation is a great step forward to enter the Japanese market and we look forward to supporting Japanese SMEs seeking new growth opportunity. We are confident that our cooperation will strengthen the Japanese and the worldwide M&A community.” said Prof. Christopher Kummer, president of IMAA. “We are honored to partner with BIZIT which operates the largest global M&A platform in Japan.”

The IMAA/BIZIT cooperation aims to enhance the M&A capabilities of professionals and companies. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and necessary foundations to be able to leverage M&A as a strategic capability and deliver positive business outcomes. In addition to enrollment programs, companies will also be able to benefit from in-house or tailored trainings.
