Hello All,
With a high chance of underperformance due to poor integration is a typical budget of 1% of a transaction deal sufficient and should companies spend more on external organisations to oversee the IMO?
Regards,
John
The complexity and size of the transaction, the degree of risk involved, as well as the experience and knowledge of the internal teams engaged, all affect the answer to this question. A budget of 1% of the transaction deal may not, however, be enough to guarantee a successful integration in most cases.
While some integrations may be successful with a budget of 1% of the transaction price, businesses should carefully assess their unique situations and any associated risks before choosing a budget. To ensure a good integration and reduce the risk of underperformance caused by a poor integration, it may be prudent in some circumstances to spend more in external companies.
