As an example, in the Indonesia telecom industry, tower operations are increasingly being taken over by independent tower companies (“TowerCos”) as opposed to the telecom operators.

As the industry begins to consolidate (https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/indonesia-telecom-tower-industry-consolidation-149990/),M&A opportunities are drying up. How can we further find M&A opportunities in such an environment?

M&A opportunities will always be there in my view, as business and regulations go through cycles. For e.g. when companies start consolidating, they become too big to be eventually split up to unlock value by getting a pure play premium valuation or selling a non-performing asset due to continued underperformance or monetizing a part of a company for portfolio management. As long humans have hubris, M&A transactions will not cease to exist.
