What are the top 3 issues and lessons learned that you have encountered regarding HR integration change management as part of a merger or acquisition?
1) Job title analysis and consistent pay practices are fundamental – as the target gets absorbed and titles change, pay gaps should be addressed
2) HR policy analysis and information sharing on changes between the Buyer and the Target – change management on polices cannot be overlooked
3) Labor practices and collective agreement analysis – spend more time on this when absorbing a unionized workforce or introducing workers with similar roles.
