is an international chemical company based in Midland, Michigan. With a revenue of 58, 167 billion USD and 53,000 employees, Dow Chemical is the second largest chemical company in the world and ranked 56th on Fortune 500. The current chief executive officer is Mr. Andrew N. Liveris.

Dow Chemical is the largest producer of plastics and synthetic rubber. He is among others the largest producer of chlorine, sodium hydroxide solution. Founded in 1897 by Herbert Henry Dow as a producer of chlorides and bromides from brine deposits. Within 20 years Dow was one of the leading producers of chemicals for agriculture, chlorine, phenol and dyes in the US.   Dow chemical is organized in 5 business areas:
