I thoroughly enjoyed the IM&A Virtual Classroom program. IMAA had really good professional experts who practice M&A as faculties to bring in very wide experience and cover every scope of the M&A activities . Though it was virtual, it was an engaging one with very good and active participation from the colleagues who joined the session. Their training material and the case studies were quite in depth and very insightful.
I would strongly recommend this course for every senior leader and finance professionals as it gives a complete overview of the various aspects of mergers and acquisitions in a short span of time.
This training provided me the opportunity to expand my M&A perspectives beyond that of HR in my usual course of work and the coaching and feedback from the faculty members were invaluable – especially insights and know-how from practical experience. This training provided me the opportunity to expand my M&A perspectives beyond that of HR in my usual course of work and the coaching and feedback from the faculty members were invaluable – especially insights and know-how from practical experience.
I chose to pursue the IM&A and M&AP programs in order to gain knowledge that would allow me to better identify the tools necessary to enhance the value-add components of the merger and acquisition process. I wanted to sharpen my vantage point of the entire acquisition process from both a macro and micro level. These programs have given me the roadmap to discovering the integral intangibles, that are often times overlooked, which I will utilize in all of my future business endeavors. I decided to take the courses online due to the inherent accessibility and convenience of being able to receive the same world renown, quality education from the comfort of my home. I found that the online content was strategically constructed in a way that was digestible and relatable which allowed me to view the concepts from various perspectives. I felt strongly that by completing the IM&A and M&AP programs I could then leverage the knowledge accumulated for value-add purposes within my current industry. I would most definitely recommend this course to my peers and colleagues.
The course content is wonderful. The assignments, case studies, stretched me to dig deep into the work I did in the past or the current client I am working with and have put a different lens on the learning and the work I do. The contents are recently updated and relevant to the current situation. The course has been very beneficial in helping me in my current role such as enlarge my horizons on different facets of M&A, the actors involved, the type of activities and also the nuances behind a transaction. The program helped me in the getting resources and also perspectives on M&A that helped me in my work.
Integration is a critical activity in M&A, which can either create unprecedented value for an organization or can lead to negative value creation. I found the course from IMAA, to be a complete package covering all aspects of integration. For an Integration lead, it is crucial to realize that integration success is not only limited to recognizing success drivers or implementing best practices, but knowing the ways to monitor various influences, threats, challenges that may contribute to M&A failure. I strongly recommend taking this course from IMAA.
I wanted to have a formal certification in M&A provided by a recognised Institute like IMAA. The course content was quite informative and really helps me in my projects. I got rich information related to the due diligence, processes for merging or acquiring other firms, financial valuation of companies and finally how to successfully integrate the operations after the merger. The tutors are well-experienced and shared their experience and case studies. Doing the course online enabled me not to compromise my regular work. I would surely recommend this course to my peers and colleagues.

I have been following Prof. Damodaran for a long time, reading some of his books, his blog and papers. I think that Prof. Damodaran has a “gift” for everything to make sense within a valuation, while keeping it simple and transparent. During my career of more than 20 years as a fundamental institutional investor, I have dealt with extreme scenarios like the 2000 Internet bubble, 2007/2008 GFC, QE, negative interest rates, COVID-19, etc. I think it is convenient to come back to fundamental basics, from time to time.
The online classroom was quite dynamic, with different profiles and interesting discussions. Prof. Damodaran is an excellent communicator and perfectly manages the time and attention to capture the audience. I found the course useful. I was afraid it was too basic but, on the contrary, it is quite actual, and it helped us to better undertake valuations of non-traditional businesses and startups, always from a fundamental and common-sense perspective.
I strongly recommend the course, both to junior practitioners to strengthen the basic pillars of valuation, and to senior professionals as a healthy upgrade of the valuation foundations and its application to new businesses.
Because of the M&A business complexity, it was critical to find a program with a strong concentration of experienced professionals, as well as a program structure that covers insider business knowledge. After analyzing many options, I was convinced that IMAA had what I needed. The program has helped me to better understand the M&A processes so I can apply it in my own company, as well as building a better consulting practice for future clients.
I chose the M&A Professional Certificate because I was looking for a certification in M&A to deepen my knowledge in this highly complex field of corporate finance, as well as a program that showed not only the M&A processes, but M&A consulting practice in other areas of the globe. The online program was also the best way for me to combine a high-quality education program with a busy business life. At the end of the program, I could say that my expectations were achieved.
