As we all know, all integrations are different. Sometimes we acquire larger companies with robust processes, sometimes we acquire smaller organizations without much governance structure. As a result, we have been working to develop a Fit-4-Purpose approach aimed at “right-sizing” our integration activities. The goal is to integrate without overwhelming the acquired organization or even worse, implement procedures that impact the acquired company’s ability function in a manner that resulted in the decision to acquire in the 1st place.
I would love to hear if others have implemented similar practices???
That sounds as a great and very interesting practice. Could you please provide some more details?
1) what are the criteria
2) based on chosen criteria you decide on which layers the integration should be made?
3) are you integrating based on the organisation layers, or other areas? how you choose those areas?
4) what is the IT aspect of this approach?
