Hello, I believe the ESG plays a critical role when evaluating the social-cultural aspects from both sides, acquirer and target. I’ve been involved in a few due diligence where the ESG is part of the gathered info but not the target companies’ core. In the future, I think that companies may acquire ESG specialized companies as a strategy to bring inside knowledge and expertise, the same way that happens with tech start-ups.
