To navigate the ever increasing amount of data available worldwide, it will be more and more important to actually varify the source of the data. And here psychological aspects come into play as well as we humans prefer positive over negative information. This is especially an issue with social media reports by companies themselves – eg. making themselves look better than they acutally are.
There are a number of data sources already available that try to work through the thickness of social media and try to filter the facts. Softwares like this will change the game of M&A as it will not be necessary any more to have local teams, many aspects will get automated and during DD we have to be more aware than ever of inconsistencies.
Summed up, we all better work on a programming degree as well 🙂
