I have worked in companies that approach this very differently. My third job involved a medium sized company operating in seven different countries across, Asian, North American, European, and South American culture. We focused on having local leaders in charge of operations in each country but all leaders spoke German and thus our corporate leadership meetings in Europe were conducted in German. I believe the key to success in this area is ensuring adequate bi-lingual and bi-cultural leadership are onboard to support the integration process.
