Agreed with the above post! However, I do see nepotism and can find that it can damage a business by affecting employee morale, causing friction and resentment, particularly to those more suitable for a role. It can cause issues post-merger as well as the leadership of the Acquirer company can sometimes feel in a bit of a ‘hard spot’ when dealing with this.
