Position: Professor of Finance at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan
Prof. David J. Brophy is Professor of Finance and a member of the Finance Faculty and the Entrepreneurial Studies Faculty at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, where he teaches courses in entrepreneurial finance, corporate valuation, venture capital and both domestic and international private equity and finance. Prof. Brophy has extensive experience in Executive Education. He was the founding director of the University of Michigan School of Banking and co-founder of the Finance for the Non- Financial Manager program. He also serves as the Director of the University of Michigan Center for Venture Capital and Private Equity Finance, where he assists emerging and mid-sized companies. Prof. Brophy holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Detroit.
